I used to write anchor links in HTML in WordPress but using the box option in WordPress allows you to make links, from headers allowing you to jump to anywhere in the text. At the moment, this option only works with headers.
If you are reusing an old post, first you need to separate your text into blocks. By highlighting, cutting and pasting it.
Click in the header box. On the right side, click on advanced. Then type the name of the link that you would like.
Make a table of contents at the top of your page or highlight a piece of text within your page that you would like to link the header to.
Click on the link option on the toolbar, and then type a hashtag and the link name. the link text is highlighted in this box. Click save. Save your page and test it.
